In order to better serve our customers Duranglers sell New Mexico fishing Licenses in Durango. So for those fishermen that need both Colorado and New Mexico licenses, it’s one stop convenience. We are on the river almost every day and pride ourselves on providing reliable, accurate information on fishing conditions, flows, hatches and all other details you need to make your trip a successful one.
The San Juan River is one of the great
tailwater fisheries anywhere and for that reason many fishermen are drawn to the Four Corners area. At the same time many fishermen are not aware that only a one hour drive north will bring them to more trout waters like the Animas, Piedra and Dolores Rivers to name a few. For those looking for more variety and diversity than just the San Juan, Durango is the most central location to fish all the waters available.

The San Juan is a very unique fishery and tends to frustrate many fishermen with its very small flies and unusual fish behavior. Our guide staff is very experienced with many years of guiding. LOWER RIVER
For those who have already experienced the Quality Waters of the San Juan, Duranglers also offers a float trip on the lower river that is not accessible to the public wade fishing. The big dry fly and streamer fishing this section offers is quite a contrast to the technical small bug fishing and numbers of anglers of the upper river. Its a great way to fish two rivers in one.
