Do you ever have one of those days where all you seem to catch is 5″ rainbow trout? Most likely, your local Division of Wildlife just stocked your favorite stretch with fingerling bows.
Your best bet is this:
- Fish each hole until you find a section with no little nibbling rainbow trout.
- Cut off that size 18 double nymph rig.
- Tie on a 10-pound bass leader along with a Hawkin’s Triple Double Rainbow Streamer.
- Strip it through that run with no little baby fingerlings.
- Hold on.
The Hawkin’s Triple Double Rainbow Streamer from Fulling Mill will find you that baby bow killer that was not interested in those emerging mayflies. Great streamer for hucking from a boat too!
