DESCRIPTION:Our Fly Tying 101 is a great introduction to the lifelong pursuit of fly tying if you’ve always wanted to learn to tie your own flies but don’t know where to start.  We are now offering Fly Tying 101 as a FREE introductory lesson\, with expert instruction and all tools/materials supplied.  In this class\, you will learn to start a fly\, wrap thread\, attach and wrap materials\, and tie off a fly.  Any flies tied by you are yours to take home and use yourself! \nTying your own flies is a great way to learn more about what is going on in a river and help you become a more successful fisherman. \nClass is limited to 4 people\, so preregistration is required.  Please call us at 970-385-4081 to register.  If 4 people are registered\, you will be added to our next available class.  If you have not registered\, and you show up the day of the class and we are full\, you will be turned away\, so call to register and ensure you have a spot! \nCOVID safety practices will be in place.

DESCRIPTION:This Open Fly Tying Night has been postponed due to Covid surges as well as Snowdown Events.  Go have fun and be safe\, but note we have postponed until next week.  Wednesday\, February 3rd\, join us at the Outdoorsy Outpost across the street for our co-hosted fly tying night! \nOur Open Fly Tying Night is for any and all interested in fly tying. \nBring your own tools\, materials\, supplies\, snacks\, and just tie!  Although this is not an instruction night\, there will still be plenty of learning from each other. This is a meeting of the minds: an excuse to get out of the house\, get behind the vise\, and have some fun with fellow tiers.  If you’ve got an upcoming saltwater trip and some patterns you want to take…great! \nThis is a FREE event for those who want to hang out and tie with other tiers.  Extra tools and vises are available if needed\, but make sure to bring your own materials and hooks!
