We hear these questions every day, and often it comes down to how you are setting up your nymph rig for the Animas River.

It has been said that 90% of a trout’s diet comes from subsurface food sources.  It has also been said that 10% of anglers catch 90% of the fish.  The reason may be that most anglers are only fishing in the top third of the water depth (as some have said).

90% subsurface, 10% anglers, 1/3rd water depth?  What does it all mean?

It doesn’t matter, as this clinic aims to put you in the top 10% of anglers by teaching you the subtle (or not so subtle) art of fishing with a nymph rig on the Animas.  Join us and learn how to set up a proper classic nymph rig for the waters in our local river.  Learn how to get your rigging, depth, weight, and even fly selection right to increase your chances of catching more fish.
