There is a heck of a lot going on and things are changing every day…maybe even every hour! We know everyone is in one way or another feeling the effects of the COVID-19 crisis. It is truly a global shaping event, the likes of which we would have to imagine no one has seen in their lifetime.
Due to the recent statewide Colorado Stay at Home order issued by our governor, our doors will be closed now through April 26th to abide by the directive. The good news is that we are still processing and shipping all of our online orders that are placed on our online shop. If you have any questions at all, we are available to answer phone calls at 970-385-4081 from 10-4 pm or e-mails at [email protected] or [email protected].
To add to the unfortunate news, per the Ute tribal Chairman’s order yesterday after reviewing their options the general rule will be that Ute water permit holders can NOT fish any Ute waters during the current COVID19 crisis. This order will stand until further notice from tribal authorities.
However, the good news is that here in Colorado, our parks and public waters are still open and residents are encouraged to get out and enjoy them. Per the statewide Stay at Home order as well as Colorado Parks and wildlife: “parks are open for normal recreation activity including hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, etc.” Campgrounds and playgrounds will remain closed, and users must observe social distancing.
Going into the new license year, please note that you can purchase your Colorado and New Mexico fishing licenses online for the April 1st start date.
We want to thank you all for your support through all of this and we want to ask everyone that they would PLEASE shop small and local when you can, whatever that means to you. Small business is the heart and soul of this country and you never know what your purchasing dollars will do in a time like this. It could ensure your favorite restaurant, shop, or service is still going strong when the dust clears.
Remember will get through this and again thank you for your support. We are currently working on a variety of ways to engage everyone online and build our community of fly fishing through this time. We are still available to help you get out on the water so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, look for more to come from us in the coming days.
Finally, our coupon code staysafe20 on our online store is still valid through tomorrow to save 20% on all our online flies, fly assortments, and fly tying materials.
