Abaco, Bahamas Hosted Trip with Duranglers Flies and Supplies
We have been hosting fly fishing trips to the Bahamas for many years, and we are headed back again for the best bonefishing in the world!
Our HQ this year will be the Delphi Club on Abaco Island for 6 days of fishing in one of the most beautiful saltwater destinations in the world. Described as an intimate, luxury boutique fishing club, Delphi boasts some of the best bonefishing in the world.
The Delphi Club on Abaco is a small luxury hotel and fishing lodge in an idyllic location overlooking a beautiful and deserted half mile of white sand beach. Guests get to enjoy the best of Bahamas bonefishing along with top quality accommodation and food. Delphi is located half an hour south of Marsh Harbour airport which is serviced by various international flights to and from the US and Nassau daily. Post Hurricane Dorian, the best way to reach Marsh Harbour from the US is from East Coast Florida, with service provided to and from West Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale and Miami.
Dates: April 9th-15h
The Bahamas is bonefish eutopia. But, at The Club we pride ourselves in not being one-dimensional on the flats and our guides work hard to get anglers shots at a variety of other species.
The famous Marls on the west side of the island offer world-class bonefishing, while the white-sand wading flats at Cherokee Sound on the east side provide shots at the elusive permit – the holy grail of flats fishing – as well as at bigger (double-digit) bonefish and the occasional tarpon. In the right conditions, there can also be great fishing off the Club’s beach for bonefish and triggerfish.
On the South Side, Sandy Point offers an extremely diverse range of flats and species. With shorter access to open water, anglers have the opportunity at some big pelagics as well as schools of large bonefish, triggerfish, and permit.
Logistically, anglers need to arrive Marsh Harbor on Abaco Island Saturday, April 9 fish April 9-15 and depart Marsh Harbor Saturday, April 16.
