Costa de Cocos in Xcalak, Mexico is an out of the way lodge that caters to beginner and die-hard saltwater fly fisherman alike. With the Great Mayan reef out front and Chetumal bay out back, there are hundreds of miles of flats and shorelines that we fished to check off a grand slam in Mexico: bonefish, tarpon, and permit along with snook, barracuda, jacks, and a ton of other flats species were our targets.
