Finding yourself in unfamiliar waters with a fly box full of unknowns is not a situation anyone wants to find themselves in. Take the guesswork out of fishing our local waters with a custom fly assortment for our local rivers. It’s simple: choose the water you will be fishing, the price you want to pay, and then let us know when you will be fishing: we will take care of the rest. Head to the water with the confidence that you will be outfitted with the right flies to catch trout.
Instructions
When will you be here? Every month will be different and every assortment subject to change. We handpick flies for your chosen trip that will work best for you to match the hatch. You will need to let us know the month or months you plan on fishing in the shipping comments on the shipping page for us to best choose your flies.
Where will you be fishing? Have a specific river you want to hit? Choose from our local Animas, San Juan River Quality Waters, Piedra, Rio Grande, or Lower Dolores,. Don’t see the river you are fishing on the dropdown? Choose “General” and then tell us where you are headed in the comments section on the shipping page of your order. (you can also state specifics such as “dry flies only”, or “all streamers”, or “caddis assortment”, or “high country creeks” if you so desire). We will take it from there. If you don’t comment with a specific river, then the “General” assortment will not be specific to any one river but will include good fly options throughout Southwest Colorado.
Where price do you want to pay? We ensure that these assortments are a better value as you will receive more flies per assortment than if you were to purchase them separately. Orders of $100 and $200 will be packed into a fly box for your convenience!
Quantity: Every assortment will come with 2 of each fly pattern so you will always have a backup (not counting large streamers). If you want to ensure you have multiples of each pattern, you can increase the assortment order quantity from 1 to 2 (or more!).
