Animas Lunch Report – 5/7/15 – Dropping In
As we have already discussed, there is plenty of fishing to be found during runoff. There are also plenty of other things to be done during runoff. Yardwork, house chores, spring cleaning, catching up on work, or working on that kickflip you never quite perfected in high school.
Sure you are middle aged now and the bumps and bruises come easier than they did before; but you only live once. Head over to the Durango skatepark, check out the river, and drop in. It never hurt to take a trip back in time to childhood (or maybe it will hurt when bail on that frontside 5-O).
Andy – 1370 cfs is the magic number today. If you wanted to get on the Animas, today, it might be a good day to float. The water is very off color so don’t expect much fish.
Kyle – Again, as Kyle is leaving for Belize this Saturday on a Duranglers hosted trip to chase tarpon, permit, and bonefish; he has mentally checked out of all things that do not concern sand, sun, and tropical drinks. Stay tuned for follow up photos and report!
