Animas Lunch Report – 12/14/15 – River Slush
The past few nights have been cold. Very cold in fact. So cold, that the past few mornings the Animas has been flowing with a nice amount of river slush. Precipitation is on the forecast for later this week, but temps should also be up by then too. We have heard reports of fish still looking up to midges, despite the miniature icebergs floating past. One would be hard pressed to get more solitude on the river than now!
If you don’t fancy the iceberg hatch, you should go sling a dry dropper midge set up on the San Juan River tailwater. Make sure you rock some layers though.
