Animas Lunch Report – 12/7/15 – Lurch Killz

From guiding clients on the San Juan River all summer to winters cranking out flies and swinging for steelhead, there is always plenty to talk about with Mike. The man is a fishy guy and a master fly tier to be sure…but did you know that Mike was also once a guitar god in days gone by? Indeed, Mike was a shredder of the chick stick and a presence in the thrash metal scene to be reckoned with.
Just look to stage left (the right side when looking AT the stage) for proof.
As far as the Animas is fishing…well it is about 50 degrees and really nice out. Midges are still hatching in droves and fish are still on top, keying in on the small bugs. The next few days should be full of good fishing until about Friday when the snows starts to blow.

Omfg Well well well, Old school thrash once again. I remember those days well… and being the Groupie of the year for quite a few years!!! Too bad I don’t have any of my memorabilia anymore- it would be kick ass to watch them all …
