Day two of the Animas Lunch Report! How long can we keep this consistent. Only time will tell. In the meantime…
Andy – The Animas is just like yesterday; except muddier and grosser. Lots of chunks floating in the current (which is 631 cfs right now). Mexican buffet aftermath.
If you have a raft, I would be preppin that bad boy for when this low elevation snow melt tapers off and the water clears a little. It will be time to party and bang the banks with some streamers.
If you can’t wait for the Animas to come down; of course there are other options. The San Juan River is fishing just swell. Lower elevation lakes are coming around and the lower Pine is also online.
