Animas Lunch Report – 4/6/15 – Find Your Water
Redington recently dropped the first installment of their web video series entitled “Find Your Water”. These short films highlight many different Redington employees, friends, and ambassadors and beautifully displays how each of these anglers encounters fly fishing in their own unique way.
New episodes will launch every other Tuesday and the episode release schedule is as follows:
- March 31: Our Backyard—Washington Coast
- April 14: Ski/Fish
- April 28: Urban Fly Fishing
- May 12: New Mexico Backcountry
- May 26: Saltwater Kayak Fishing
- June 9: Alberta Pike and Trout
I don’t know about you, but I love seeing how others have embraced this awesome sport. One thing we strive to do with the Animas Lunch Report is to display how we like to find our water. It is awesome to see a company like Redington doing the same thing.
Check out the first video right here. It will get you very excited about steelhead. How do you Find Your Water?

Animas Lunch Report
Charlie – The put in at Tremble was closed, so he made the most out of those lemons life threw at him…
Andy – Monday morning and seemingly everyone was in this morning to float the Animas today. Everyone came in this morning to go float the Animas. Some of us have to work ya know! It’s hard enough without the thoughts of Animas floats in the back of our minds.
Anyway, I made it out to the Animas for lunch. Threw streamers on the 8 weight. Nary a flash…but it is the Animas of course so it is always that “one more cast” kind of situation. Water clarity is very good with a slight green tint at that fantastic 640 cfs. I did also see a few BWO’s calmly fluttering about. Oh and these, everywhere…it is a beautiful time of year.
