Animas Lunch Report – 4/7/15 – Mobb Deep
Kyle – I had this guy hanging around the house yesterday. The first one to guess what kind of mayfly this is gets mad bragging rights…and maybe a salad in a jar.
Charlie – Floated lower Animas yesterday. We were throwing all kinds of junk at them with very little return until about 3:30 low down on the Ute land. Once the water seemed to warm up, they became more feisty with articulated olive sculpin streamers. For the next two hours we were able to boat a few fish.
Andy – I have been having a string of Animas type days lately on lunch. Animas days occur often here in town in the spring where no fish show and one questions if any fish exist. Oh well; I am always drawn me back for more. Swung some meat before walking back and throwing a few casts at the local worm dunker hole. It may have been the 400 gr skagit head but I think I spooked every trout in the pond. Protect ya neck kid.

Female Callibaetis ferrugineus (one of the speckled duns)
Steve, I think you are exactly correct. Stop in the shop to talk to Kyle about your jarred salad.
