Animas Lunch Report – 5/21/15 – Float Season Throwback
How about another throwback photo to remind us that the float season is right around the corner! John with the old school Sage hat, massive bow, on an unnamed Colorado river. Summer is almost upon us!
Kyle – Now would be a good time to seine the Animas to see what kind of bugs have been kicked up and are in the current. Knowing is half the battle.
Andy – The Animas came down to 1880 cfs today. Fishing will be tough still, but you could try a big stonefly nymph along the banks. Or maybe you should just be tying for the inevitable summer hatches. Is your fly box ready for stoneflies, salmonflies, green and gray drakes, caddis, and PMDs? Make sure to stock up on dries!
