Animas Lunch Report – 7/7/15 – Colorado Monsoon Season
If you have been in Colorado for a few minutes now, you may have noticed the rain that turned on and off like a kitchen sink faucet. Our monsoon season has arrived. Traditionally starting around the 10th of July, the afternoon monsoons have been showing up for a few days already.
So what does this mean for fishing?
Well besides necessitating a rain jacket, not much. Most waters will see a whole lot less anglers through the hour or so of rain. We have been catching fish through the rainiest parts of the day and we suggest you stick it out. With rain also brings the ant fall on the San Juan. So look for bugs to be out in force.
