Duranglers Recognized by Colorado Trout Unlimited as 2016 Exemplary Guide & Outfitter
Duranglers Flies and Supplies, Durango’s local fly-fishing shop for over 30 years, was recently recognized by the Colorado Trout Unlimited Council as the Exemplary Guide & Outfitter in Colorado for 2016. This award recognizes the significant contributions that Duranglers’ owners, John Flick and Tom Knopick, have made over many years in the mission of conservation of the cold-water fisheries in Southwest Colorado. John and Tom were instrumental in starting the Five Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited in June of 1984. Since that time they have contributed many hundreds of hours advocating for the clear, cold running waters of our area fisheries and donated thousands of dollars of time and merchandise to these conservation activities. Our community can be especially proud to have a local business like Duranglers recognized at the State level.
