“Animas River Update” Tom Knopick & Ty Churchwell Join us for an informative chat with Tom and Ty regarding the current status of the Animas River and an update on the Bonita Peak Superfund Site above Silverton.

Friday March 31, 2023 Virtual Zoom Event 6:00-7:00 PM

“Fly Tying Demo with Nick Blanco” – Nick Blanco, aka @wycoflyco on Instagram, will be whipping up some bugs for our enjoyment.  Bring your questions and prepare to learn a few new techniques.  Nick is a Colorado native who loves to fish steams and lakes alike, a lifetime educator, a signature fly tier with Montana Fly Company, and the inventor of one of the shop’s favorite articulated streamers: the Heisenberg.

Duranglers 8:00-11:00 AM Mike Sulkosky “Fly Tying Demo” Mike is a long-time guide and a great fly tier. He will be in the shop wrapping bugs so stop by to watch, learn and ask questions.

Duranglers 8:45-9:15 AM Dustin Carlson “The Orvis Endorsed Partnership” Dustin is our Sales Rep for Orvis and will give you some insight into why this brand is so strong. Orvis is constantly innovating and evolving their products to maximize the experience.  Dustin will also be discussing what Duranglers new “Orvis Endorsed” status means.

Duranglers 9:45-10:15 AM Marty Riddle & Jay Beebe “G Loomis Handcrafted Fly Rods” Let Marty and Jay introduce you to these awesome casting rods. G Loomis exists to heighten angler experience through creating tools that expand tactical opportunity, boost effectiveness, and enhance natural ability.

Duranglers 10:45-11:15 AM Scott Harkins “What’s New With Simms?” Scott is our Sales Rep for Simms and will show you all the great new products for 2023. Including the new and improved Freestone and Tributary waders. Also the most advanced wading boot on the water, G4 PRO Powerlock that boasts supreme durability and superior grip.

Santa Rita Park 12:00 Noon “Lunch On Duranglers ”

Santa Rita Park 12:00-2:00 PM “Casting, Demos, Instruction, and Much More” Join us and our Fly Fishing Sales Reps at the park for, product education, casting instructions, demos, clinics, lunch, and much more. There will be rods to cast from Sage, Scott, Orvis, and G Loomis

Santa Rita Park 1:00-1:30 Brent Hermanussen “Up Your Streamer Game” Brent is our Sage/Rio Rep and one heck of a good Streamer fisherman! Come down to the River and let him give you the insight and tips you need to become a better Streamer fisherman.

Duranglers 2:30-3:30 PM Capt. Mark Engler “Stillwater Strategies” The Why, Where, When, What and how to fly fish lakes. As many Rivers get more crowded, lakes offer new and often overlooked water to fish for many species.  Longtime Duranglers guide, Mark Engler will present his tactics and techniques for targeting fish in our local reservoirs and lakes.
