Sage Bolt, Accel, and 3200 Series Reel Flash Sale

We got a lot of great feedback on our previous Flash Sale with the Sage PULSE and MOTIVE fly rods…so we are doing another!  Up for grabs this time is the Sage BOLT and ACCEL fly rods as well as the 3200 series fly reels at 15% off until May 1st.

It seems the price of premium fly rods is just going up every year.  We all work hard to pay the bills and it is hard to drop a chunk of change on a fine fly rod that will last.  Enter in the BOLT and ACCEL.  Built with Sage’s Generation 5 technology; these rods are built with top of the line specs without the top of the line price tag.  The Generation 5 Technology is a personal favorite of mine as it is the tech responsible for the Sage Z-AXIS, TXL-F, and ZXL…which just so happen to be some of the best rods ever built in my small and humblest of opinions…

Coming in at $552.50 for the BOLT and ACCEL, you would be hard-pressed to find a better deal on a premium fly rod.

A little about the ACCEL

It seems Sage really looked at the way the fly rod industry was going, and realized “wow there are a lot of super fast fly rods out there, and we have a whole bunch ourselves; maybe we should tone it back a bit”.  Now maybe that wasn’t the conversation had at Sage; regardless, the Accel is an outstanding fly rod.  The Sage ACCEL fly rod casts very smooth and accurate, yet still holds enough power to deliver casts at distances of 40 to 70 feet.  We would describe the action as medium fast and is a perfect trout rod in weights 3 to 7 and is a fantastic all around stick for fishing dries, nymphs, and streamers.  In the larger weights, the ACCEL even makes a fantastic salmon, steelhead, bass, and even saltwater fly rod.

A little about the BOLT

The Sage BOLT is a knife, sharpened to cut through the heaviest headwinds.  As the name would suggest, the BOLT is a very fast action fly rod that generates high line speeds and tight loops.  Not for the faint of heart, we really dig the BOLT as a streamer and pike rod when you need to huck heavy stuff great distances.  The BOLT also makes for a pretty incredible saltwater stick for bonefish, snook, redfish, and baby tarpon when you need to blast long casts with strong winds.

A little about the 3200 Series Reel

The Sage 3200 Series Fly Reel is a reasonably priced, fully machined workhorse of a reel.  With an oversized, and very grippy, one rotation drag knob; the 3200 series bosts a very strong drag (and in fact more drag than most will ever need for trout).  This could be one of the best reel deals out there right now at 15% off retail.

Please also note that if we don’t have a certain rod or reel model in stock, between now and May 1st we can order any BOLT, ACCEL, or 3200 reel and you can still receive the discounted price.  This includes models and sizes we may not have online including switch and spey ACCEL rods.

This flash sale will only last until May 1st, 2017, so get on it before the summer season really gets going.  These rods and reels receive free ground shipping!
