Animas Lunch Report – 5/28/15 – Colorado Grand Slam
Derek; one of the recent additions to the Duranglers shop staff and aspiring trout wizard, made the magic happen yesterday with a Colorado grand slam. (A Colorado grand slam is catching a brown, rainbow, brook, and cutthroat trout all in one day)
With runoff picking up again (the Animas is rising an is currently around 1800 cfs), local flatwater is going to be a good option to get into some fish for a while.
Andy – The Animas may be an option for another day or so for good float fishing; but after that expect lots of water. Now might be a good time to get behind the vise and tie up those dries you meant to tie this past winter but procrastinated until now.
i am renting a home on the Delores River just outside of Delores. We have two adults and two teenagers that would like to fish . We will be ther from the 13th of July thru the 18th. Could you tell me wherer you might suggest that the fisihg would be best for your guide to put us for two half-days of fishing in the general area.
Hell Ken,
The Dolores River is a great fly fishing river. Are you looking for a guided trip or just recommendations of locations to fish?
Thank you!
-Andy
