Animas Lunch Report – 11/3/15 – Till Next Year
Within hours, high country valleys like this will be hidden under almost two feet of snow. We had an amazing (and extended) high country season this year. We raise our glass to long hikes, secret spots, and the continuing quest for the wild 20 inch cutthroat trout. Get a few maps to pour over this winter next to the fire and pack a bag for next summer.

As for the Animas, well it is holding real well for November at 321 cfs (a unusual flow for this time of year) so get out your skinny water rafts and float through town. Streamers and nymphs will be the main fare here, but watch for hatches of midges.
